Soča

It is the largest water that is supervised by RD Tolmin and all the rivers from the valley flow into it, except Nadiža. It is a clear, fast and cold river with white color in May and early June because the snow melts and at that time it is perfect for some big marble trout streamer fishing. In the second half of June, when the river is clear again, it is the best time to fish for grayling and rainbow trout, which are the biggest aim for all the recreational fishermen on the Soča River. Also in the lake at Most na Soči there are many fish hiding.

Idrijca

Mysterious beauty with large pools in the shelter of which many big marble and rainbow trouts are inhabited. The river is extremely rich in midges and larvae for which many grayling, small marble and rainbow trouts, but also some gray trout ferret around in straits and light rapids.

Bača

After heavy rains, this clear and cold river rises as quickly as normalizes and is therefore ready for fishing already the next day. This river also is inhabited by some beautiful examples of different species of trout, such as marble, gray and rainbow trout, but also of grayling.

Trebušica

Small, quick and clear river which is full of small marble trout as well as of grayling and rainbow trout in the lower reaches.

Tolminka

Upper reaches of the river are difficult to access. However, in the pools of the lower reaches you can test your cunningness with rainbow trout and grayling as well as with some beautiful marble trout.

Unica

Dreamy, karst beauty which is hidden among the meadows. It flows from one pool to another where high grasses and sandbanks are the kingdom of the most careful gray trout and the most particular grayling. Believe me, you can really show your fishing knowledge and the contents of your fly box here.

Sava Bohinjka

This clear and cold river is a bit slower in its upper reaches and full of pools that are surrounded with gravel deposits. In lower reaches it flows faster and it is full of rapids and rocky pools. This river is a perfect place to fish for grayling as well as for gray and rainbow trouts. In the lower reaches of the river some examples of hutchen, the king of rivers, can be found, too.
